The Challenge
Sigma, a global leader in manufacturing high quality camera’s lenses and accessories, had far outgrowing their patchwork CMS and ecommerce platform. Numerous technical issues had seriously limited their ability to showcase their evolving product offering and easily update the content that communicated their brand’s messaging to the world. After years of bandaids, it was time to develop a new platform that would be as secure and reliable as their product line.
Approach
Forix was contracted by Sigma’s creative team as a trusted technology partner that could work within their design guidelines. Based on Sigma’s specific ecommerce goals, we replatformed their online store to Magento and moved them to a new hosting partner that has dramatically increased site performance, updated site security, and improved the site’s responsiveness. Working hand in hand with Sigma’s creative team, we improved the online shopping experience by implementing a redesigned header and navigation, and by building a product finder tool that empowers consumers to discover new Sigma products.
